Security:
In Andorra the crime rate per capita is one of the lowest in the world, because its urban security is among the best in the world.
Urban security is assured by the Police Service. The so-called ‘law on immigration’, as a preventive measure, provides for the administrative expulsion from the Andorran territory of anyone considered to pose a threat to security.
The geographic layout of the Andorran territory, with its mountains and only two border crossing-points, is itself a protection against international crime.
These measures and these characteristics make Andorra one of the safest countries in the world. For this reason it is a privileged and ideal place in which to invest, and to buy a property as a main or second home.
Education:
The system of education in Andorra is international, with three public educational systems co-existing: the Andorran, the French and the Spanish. The latter include Spanish public schools and religious schools. The Principality of Andorra also has a Spanish private school which provides bilingual education: the School of the Pyrenees.
Health:
Andorra has a high-quality public health system, composed of the Hospital Nostra Senyora de Meritxell, with an established medical and technological reputation, and eleven medical centres distributed among the main localities. There are also collaboration agreements between the public health service and neighbouring countries which allow Andorrans and residents of Andorra to be treated in specialised international centres.
